Q. What is certified pre-owned fitness equipment?
A. Similar to a higher end automobile, a (CPO) is a high quality piece of equipment that is slightly used, has been fully cleaned and had all the wear parts replaced, and is now on sale for a fraction of the cost of a new piece.

Q. Wouldn’t it be better to just walk/run outside instead of buying a piece of cardiovascular equipment?
A. Always great body & mind to get outside, but living in Chicagoland we are many times limited by weather and/or traffic.

Q. If I’m active all day chasing kids or on my feet a lot, should I need to workout?
A. While all movement during the day is good, a formal workout will impact your body and your health much more specifically and effectively.

Q. Is it good to eat before my workouts?
A. Performing a low or moderate intensity cardiovascular workout   on an empty stomach is preferred, while doing a high intensity cardio or weight workout requires proper fueling beforehand.

Q. If I sleep less, will I burn more calories and lose weight?
A. Actually, sleeping less than 7-7.5 hours a night compromises the body’s ability to hormonally balance and repair tissue, which has a unhealthy long term effect on the body, including potential weight gain.

Q. Is there really a difference between workout equipment? Isn’t buying a piece from an infomercial or discounted online just as good as a more expensive piece?
A. Usually you get what you pay for.  A low quality piece of fitness equipment typically feels so, which decreases your likelihood to use it, and increases risk of early repair or hauling it to the curb.

Q. If I work out consistently, can I then not be so concerned about my diet?
A. Although the body is more forgiving calorically when working out, it’s probably even more important to make good food choices most of the time. You are stressing the body and tissue repair is important to see and feel the changes you’ve worked hard to create.
